The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) recognizes the incorporation of the Universidad Francisco Gavidia (UFG) from El Salvador into the International System for Agricultural Science and Technology (AGRIS).

Founded in 1981, the Universidad Francisco Gavidia is one of El Salvador’s leading institutions of higher learning. Named after the renowned Salvadoran writer and thinker, the university is committed to fostering innovation and excellence in education and research.
