How agroecology helps to build climate change-resilient livelihoods

Climate change has severe negative impacts on livelihoods and food systems worldwide. According to the latest scenarios, the world's future is in jeopardy in the face of the challenges of improving food security and nutrition, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. There is an urgent need to transform the food systems to ensure sustainability and resiliency. Agroecology could play a vital role here. The FAO's governing bodies call for increased evidence-based work on agroecology as a response. This video aims to elaborate on existing links between agroecology and climate change.  It provides evidence on the technical and policy potential of agroecology to build resilient food systems.
