The Spanish Society of Organic Agriculture and Agroecology (SEAE) has organized the Technical Conference, under the slogan "One health. One planet. A diverse rural world": because the health of people is inseparable from the health of our planet. In this symbiosis, the rural world plays a fundamental role as the guarantor of food and of so many other services that sustain life and preserve the health of ecosystems. And if anything brings together in balance the three aspects - health, planet, and the rural world - it is organic production and agroecology which, in times of pandemic and climate emergency, are emerging as the best strategy to demand a comprehensive response to the current socio-ecological crisis, addressing all the links between agriculture and health.
Thus, under the eyes of experts and initiatives in the agroecological field ranging from local to international, it is expected to explore, from a transdisciplinary and multisectoral approach, different issues involved in the concept of single health: the role of organic production and short channels, human and animal health as interdependent and interlinked with ecosystems or public policies that should favor agroecological strategies for the transition of our food systems.
