Public Policies and Food Systems in Latin America

Solving the problem of hunger and malnutrition, producing and guaranteeing access to healthy food, preserving the environment, valuing local cultures, and ensuring citizen participation are some of the challenges that affect the dynamics of food systems.

From different scales and perspectives of analysis, this book addresses the role of Latin American public policies and actions in shaping healthy and sustainable food systems.

The latest collective publication of the network "Public Policies and Rural Development in Latin America'' (PP-AL) is the result of research conducted by some 40 authors in 10 Latin American countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
