What agroecology do we need?

This video is part of the project "Deepening debates on agroecological experiences for food sovereignty" carried out with the support of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation.  It argues that one cannot talk about agroecology without considering the history of agriculture. The claim about food produced without agrochemicals connects with land-ownership, the disappearance of farmers, with the destruction of forests, and the monopoly of the market. A comprehensive agricultural reform includes aspects like access to land for all, recovering and protecting native and local seeds, elimination of patriarchal practices from organizations and customs, ensuring equal rights for women, and promotion of local markets.
