Call for abstracts for the 5th World Congress on Agroforestry: "Transitioning to a Viable World" on 17-20 July 2022

The call for abstracts to participate in the 5th World Congress on Agroforestry 2022 ‘’Transitioning to a Viable World’’ is now open until 15 November 2021. Farmers, researchers, advisors, policymakers, and representatives from the government, the civil society and the private sector from all over the world are invited to submit an abstract of recent research, development project or innovative field work findings for either an oral or a poster presentation to contribute to an open and inclusive dialogue on emerging research and good practices in agroforestry.

The conference will take place in Québec City, Canada, on July 17-20, 2022. Virtual participation will also be possible. Considering agroforestry participates in enhancing soil health, protecting water quality, increasing biodiversity, mitigating and adapting to climate change, and providing food security, health, and revenues, it is an essential component of the needed ecological, energetic, social, and economic transition. This critical transition can and must be achieved through a participatory collaboration process that helps in building bridges between research, policy decisions, and fieldwork.

The 5th World Congress on Agroforestry will help create or strengthen those connections by promoting knowledge sharing for a transition to a unified and healthy world.

Click here to submit an abstract by 15 November 2021. Once submitted, your abstract will be reviewed by the members of the scientific committee, who will inform you as soon as possible whether or not it has been accepted. Accepted abstracts will be collated in the Book of Abstracts of the Congress available free of charge as a pdf document.
