Within the framework of the project "Development of organic peasant agriculture for economic recovery and productive reactivation in the context of COVID-19" financed by the Spanish Cooperation and the ETEA Foundation for development and cooperation, and implemented by the NGO Alter Vida, an informative meeting was held to present data on organic and agroecological production in Paraguay.

The data survey, for the conclusion of the research, was carried out in the 17 departments of the country, and directly involved 38,308 producers, adding both production systems (organic and agroecological), who cover a total area of 187,764 hectares.

The data shows that of the producers involved, 12,694 are certified organic, covering 115,841 hectares of production, while 25,614 are agroecological producers, for a total of 71,542 hectares.
