The Latin American Institute of Agroecology (IALA, for its acronym in Spanish) is a process led by La Via Campesina to train young people from social movement organizations in agroecology.

This session discussed the historical foundations and methodology of IALAs in agroecological practices in Latin America and the experiences of young people from a central agricultural campus in Santo Tomás, Chontales, Nicaragua.

The event was part of the ''Oxford Real Farming'' Conference in 2021.
