On April 7, 2021, the activities of the Training Centre for Sustainable Family Farming in the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CCAFS) began with the aim of promoting the exchange of knowledge to strengthen agroecology in the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP) and train trainers to build resilient food systems. 

The physical structure of the Center is located in São Tomé and Príncipe and the online convergence point for the center is the ConectAgroecology Hub, which is being implemented to strengthen the approximation of countries, overcoming the challenges posed by distance. In May 2021, the Center completed its first training and will continue to work to offer courses to all CPLP member countries on a face-to-face, semi-attendance, and distance learning basis.
