This special issue of the Review of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Studies (RAFE) aims to collect social science and economic articles based on detailed empirical research conducted in the Global South and North (including comparative studies) to discuss and develop a procedural relational approach to "agrifood justice."  Agriculture and food are in a stable relationship with the ecosystem. However, few works have explored this connection or disconnection and its impact on situations of food justice or injustice. This call for papers intends to continue exploring the relationship between agrifood justice and environmental justice and to incorporate the socio-ecological dimension comprehensively into the analyses. Within this context, RAFE proposes four themes of the call for papers:

• Mechanisms of injustice and vulnerabilities at all levels of agrifood systems;
• Justices and injustices in the intermediate spaces of food systems;
• Processes rooted in an ecosystem of the Earth subject to global changes;
• How to achieve a just transition. 

The deadline for submission of papers is 1 July 2021.
