This Training of Trainers is part of the activities of the Training Centre for Sustainable Family Farming (CCAFS) of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP). As part of a broader work program of knowledge and capacity building, the main objective of the training is to train multiplicators of agroecology in the CPLP, who actively contribute to the development of sustainable agroecosystem models based on the principles of agroecology and organic production. The training thus aims to support a broader networking process based on the exchange of knowledge and experiences underway in the countries.

The training is aimed at participants from all CPLP member countries and is particularly targeted at farmers and other food producers, agricultural entrepreneurs, rural extension technicians and other professionals working in sectors relevant to food systems.

The training, which will be held between 11 October - 13 November 2021 in five classes covering 7 distinct thematic modules, is based on an interactive methodology that promotes a process of exchange of knowledge and experiences. The interaction between trainees and trainers will be permanent, both in the classroom context and through the conversation channel of the digital platform. Participants also have the possibility to interact with each other through their own space on the digital platform.

The training combines online classes, theoretical components, and students' autonomous work to study the didactic materials and to construct the final work.
