Current food and agricultural systems face major environmental, climate and health challenges while struggling to respond to the challenges of food and nutrition security. The Coalition for food systems’ transformation through agroecology (Agroecology Coalition or AE Coalition for short) was created in 2021 at the margins of the UN Food Systems Summit in order to address these multiple challenges and accelerate food systems’ transformation. The Coalition includes 39 countries and 73 organizations, including UN agencies, farmers’ organizations, indigenous organizations, civil society organizations, research organizations, and philanthropies.

In view of the accelerating impact worldwide, the Agroecology Coalition has now opened three full-time positions.

The Agroecology Coalition Coordinator (PDF); 

The Agroecology Coalition is looking for a Coordinator to head its secretariat in Rome. The Secretariat of the AE Coalition is hosted by Bioversity International in Rome but operates independently. The Agroecology Coalition Coordinator will report to the Agroecology Coalition Steering Group (SG).

The Agroecology Coalition Associate Coordinator (PDF); and

The Associate Coordinator will be operating an independent program and will report to the Agroecology Coalition Coordinator.

The Agroecology Coalition Communication officer (PDF).

The Communications Officer will amplify the visibility of the AE Coalition’s work to a range of audiences (including Coalition members, civil society groups, media, and policymakers). The Communications Officer will report to the Agroecology Coalition Coordinator.
