Workshop on developing national veterinary antimicrobial therapy guidelines in Southeast Asia

FAO RAP is arranging a workshop on developing national veterinary antimicrobial therapy guidelines in Southeast Asia on 27 January 2022. Participants will discuss the value of having such guidelines, identify the challenges for their development and explore possible practical mechanisms for their development in the region. 

The consultative workshop will invite participants from the following: 

  • Nominees from Southeast Asian countries.
  • Nominees from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia would represent their countries as the ASEAN lead country for AMR, the ASWGL Chair and the ASEAN lead country for GAHP, respectively.
  • Representatives of the ASEAN Secretariat.
  • Representatives of national veterinary medical associations.
  • Experts on antimicrobial stewardship and AMR surveillance.
  • AMR experts from FAO Headquarters.
  • AMR experts from the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).
  • Representatives of USAID.
