2nd Annual Coordination Meeting of the Project Steering Committee of the FAO-China South-South Cooperation Project on Transboundary Animal Disease Control in the Greater Mekong Sub-Region

While the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has posed immense global challenges and transformed many aspects of lives, the implementation of the SSC TAD project has also been affected. In this critical time, there is a crucial need to review the existing project workplan and implementation mechanisms in order to better respond to the challenges under COVID-19, maintain effective collaboration and coordination, as well as enhancing prevention and control strategies to further strengthen regional capacities.

To continue supporting the expected functions of the PSC, the 2^nd Annual Coordination Meeting of the PSC will be held during 30-31 March and 2 April 2021in virtual format in view of the current situation of COVID-19 and its related control measures. During the meeting, a feasible work plan for 2021 will be developed taking the challenges encountered in 2020 under COVID-19 into account.
