FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific

Consultation Workshop on the SSTC Action Plan in RAP Leveraging South South and Triangular Cooperation to foster Four Betters in the Asia and Pacific Region

Hybrid Event, 22/03/2022

Asia and Pacific (RAP) was identified as one of the prioritized region to implement the SSTC guideline, in particular on expanding volume of SSTC projects/initiatives and enhancing geographic targeting on HIHI countries and SIDS countries in the region.  In early 2021, FAO management assigned a Special Adviser (SA) to lead the SSTC work in the RAP. The SA, supported by a consultant, has formed a RAP-specific SSTC Action Plan.  The RAP SSTC Action Plan echoes the corporate SSTC guideline and has been developed under the close consultation with FAO HQ including PST, and RAP Regional office, as well as 20+ country offices in RAP.
