International Day of Forests 2021

International Day of Forests ‘Forest Restoration: A path to recovery and well-being’ at Department of Environmental Quality  – UN-REDD program on Sustainable Forest Trade in The Lower Mekong region, in collaboration with FAO-EU FLEGT team Office, and Forestry Office of FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, have organized and facilitated a booth to present on project background information including support on forest land monitoring on FAO tools – OpenForis free forestry software in the battle against climate change that facilitates flexible and efficient data collection, analysis, and reporting  including FAO elearning Academy on Forest transparency under the agreement.

The event was delivered by the Deputy Prime Minister’s video on launching policy brief on the International Day of Forests including the keynote speech from FAO Senior Forestry Officer, FLEGT Success Stories video and panel discussion on ‘Sustainable Timber Trade and Forest Cooperation’
