Panel Discussion: Private Sector Perspectives on AMR Mitigation

The UN Inter-Agency Coordination Group on antimicrobial resistance  (IACG),  whose mandate is to provide practical guidance for approaches needed to ensure sustained effective global action to address antimicrobial resistance (AMR),
reiterates the urgent need to develop a  shared global vision, narrative and targets to tackle antimicrobial resistance and mobilize all relevant stakeholders in support of country-level actions.  While it is recognized that multisectoral efforts
involving all stakeholders are essential to tackle challenges posed by AMR,  engagement with the private sector has been limited.
