Restoration for a Better Environment

The World Environment Day (WED) 2024 theme focuses on land restoration among others to address the triple planetary crisis: the crisis of climate change, the crisis of nature and biodiversity loss, and the crisis of pollution and waste.

FAO, with the support of partners, is organizing a webinar “Restoration for a Better Environment” to celebrate World Environment Day (WED) on Wednesday, 5 June 2024 from 13:00 to 15:00 hrs ICT (GMT+7).

What to expect during the webinar:

• Understand how partners are shaping RESULT ASIA for restoring at least 100 million ha of landscapes in Asia.
• Learn about shining examples from countries of forest and landscape restoration and innovative solutions.
• Understand how to promote restoration-related value chains through innovations.
• Gain insights on the restoration progress from partners.
• Hear youth perspectives on restoration.
• Launch of FAO publication on sustainable wood supply and restoration.
