Report on In-Depth Capacity Assessment (IdCA) of Agricultural Statistics in Bangladesh

The ‘Report on In-Depth Capacity Assessment of Bangladesh to produce Agricultural and Rural Statistics’ has just been completed with FAO’s technical support – finalized by Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics and other govt. stakeholders in statistics – with a strong commitment to enhance agricultural and rural statistics in Bangladesh.

The IdCA report, developed through a wide consultative process, will help develop a Strategic Plan for Improvement of Agricultural and Rural Statistics (SPARS) – a complement to the National Strategy for Development of Statistics (NSDS).

The successful preparation of IdCA, with support from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, is a fruit of the committed stewardship of the Statistics and Informatics Division of the Ministry of Planning, Government of Bangladesh.
