On 29 April 29 to 3 May 2002, an expert consultation and meeting on "Protein sources for the animal feed industry" was held in Bangkok, Thailand, organised by FAO with the support of the International Feed Industry Federation. The proceedings are now available on the web, providing an executive summary as well as the papers presented at the meeting. Among the many topics included in the papers, genetic modification of crops and production of amino acids for animal feed using biotechnology are also addressed.
