The web-based searchable version of the FAO Glossary of Biotechnology for Food and Agriculture has now been extended to include Arabic. For each of the over 3,000 Arabic terms used in agricultural biotechnology that are covered in the database, the definition and English translation as well as links to related terms are provided. Addition of the Arabic glossary represents a further development of this multi-lingual biotechnology database which previously covered English, French and Spanish only.
