The 11th annual session of the UNCTAD Trade Commission took place on 19-23 March 2007 in Geneva, Switzerland. One of the documents, entitled "WTO panel report on the EC-biotech case: Considerations for trade and development", prepared for the session deals with the World Trade Organization (WTO) panel report in the "European Communities Measures affecting the approval and marketing of biotech products" case. The UNCTAD Trade Commission is an intergovernmental forum that meets once a year and provides guidance for the work of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in the area of international trade in goods, services and commodities.
