Capacity building in basic molecular biology
A new research funding opportunity has recently been announced, aiming to create a network of research laboratories involved in the study of plant and animal pathogens that affect agricultural productivity in developing regions. It is jointly financed by the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS) and the International Basic Sciences Programme of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO/IBSP).
