Coinciding with the 3rd anniversary of the entry into force of the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity has just published the 1st issue of Biosafety Protocol News. Its purpose is to "provide Parties, other Governments, relevant agencies and other stakeholders with a medium to exchange information and news regarding their efforts to implement and promote awareness of the Protocol. The newsletter will also serve as an important platform for Governments and relevant stakeholders to share experiences and lessons learned, highlight ongoing partnerships and cooperation, and showcase their capacity-building projects and activities".
