Artificial breeding of cattle in Africa
A manual entitled "Guidelines and recommendations for improving artificial breeding of cattle in Africa", which "is aimed at all levels of administrative and technical personnel involved in the provision of artificial insemination services to cattle farmers in Africa" has just been published on the web. This 63-page working document is an output from a technical co-operation project entitled "Improving and increasing milk and meat production", implemented by IAEA (the International Atomic Energy Agency) and AFRA (the African Co-operative Agreement for Research, Development and Training Related to Nuclear Science and Technology), with technical support of the Joint FAO/IAEA Division of Nuclear Techniques in Food and Agriculture.
