On the occasion of a conference held on 6 June 2005 in Copenhagen, Denmark to mark the 100-year anniversary of the Danish Guild of Agricultural Journalists (Dansk Landbrugspresse), the FAO Director-General Jacques Diouf delivered a keynote address which considered, among other issues, the on-going public debate on the potential and limits of biotechnology.
