Discussion on "Camel milk: Use and health benefits"

Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia), Hybrid Event, 02/07/2024

Did you know that despite the high traditional consumption of camel milk in Mongolia, its use and processing are still limited and seasonal? Imagine the positive impact on employment, the economy, and public health if we fully utilize this precious resource by increasing production!

As part of the “SDG-Aligned Budgeting to Transform Employment in Mongolia” project, funded by the EU and implemented by FAO, we organized a discussion to strengthen the camel-milk value chain. We explored various use cases and benefits of camel milk, and encouraged cooperation between stakeholders.

We were thrilled to be joined by the writer, researcher, and globally known expert in autism and camels, Christina Adams. She introduced the Mongolian release of her award-winning book “Camel Crazy” and shared her invaluable personal experiences and extensive research on the incredible benefits of camel milk.

The event gathered different stakeholders to unlock the full potential of camel milk and ensure better production, better nutrition and better lives!
