Celebrating the International Year of Camelids: Vicuñas and Llamas in Argentina

During the Book Fair in Buenos Aires, VICAM (Vicuñas, Camelids and Environment) research group presented activities related to  the vicuñas and llamas of the altiplano of the northwest provinces of Argentina at the CONICET (National Research Council of Argentina) space. The presentation included interactive activities with school students, such as demonstrating llama fiber spinning using llama fleece and spindles and concluded with a llama model-making activity. A video created by CONICET for the International Year of the Camelids was also showcased. Over 50 children and adults participated in the afternoon event.
