XXI Vicuña Convention Technical Meeting

The Convention for the Conservation and Management of the Vicuña is an international agreement in which the signatory governments (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador and Peru) consider that the conservation of the vicuña constitutes an economic production alternative that benefits the Andean population. Likewise, they recognize that there is a need to assume a commitment to its protection and gradual use under the control of the state, applying the techniques for the management of wildlife determined by the competent official agencies of each government.

Technical meetings are specific sessions on a specific technical topic that cannot be discussed within the framework of an ordinary or extraordinary meeting. Its realization is agreed upon by a specific ordinary or extraordinary resolution.
