Background
The 50th Session of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS 50) was held from 10 to 13 October 2022. CFS 50 featured a full-day ministerial segment on coordinating policy responses to the global food crisis; endorse Policy Recommendations on Promoting Youth Engagement and Employment in Agriculture and Food Systems; and focused on boosting responsible investment in sustainable agriculture and food systems. Additionally, the Plenary celebrated the International Day of Rural Women; reviewed the work of CFS and its HLPE toward 2030; and kickstarted the workstream on data collection and analysis for food security and nutrition.
