Guidance note

The 52nd Plenary Session of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS 52) will be held from 21 to 25 October 2024 in Rome, Italy.

This year's session will focus on the 2024 State of Food Security and Nutrition report, the endorsement of those CFS products developed by the Committee during the intersessional period, the update of the CFS Multi-Year Programme of Work for 2024-2027, the report by the High-Level Panel of Experts on Food Security and Nutrition (HLPE-FSN) on "Strengthening urban and peri-urban food systems to achieve food security and nutrition in the context of urbanization and rural transformation", and other ongoing CFS workstreams and priorities.

Registration for Member and Non-Member States

Diplomatic representatives designated to attend CFS 52 must register on the FAO Members Gateway using their protected password reserved for FAO Permanent Representatives.

Participants and Observers designated to attend CFS 52 should register by 15 September 2024 using the following link: CFS 52 Registration.

Personalized links to access the virtual meeting will be made available upon completion of the registration.

In the event that a Member delegation will include senior-level participation such as a Minister, Vice Minister, State Secretary (or equivalent), those delegations should inform the CFS Secretariat at [email protected] by 29 September 2024 to be afforded priority protocol consideration on the speakers’ list.
