The Voluntary Guidelines on Food Systems and Nutrition provide a framework to promote policy coherence and coordination and to bring together various actors that are involved in food systems. They underline the need of a food systems approach that recognizes that the various parts of the food systems are interconnected, that any action or decision to address one aspect of a food system would impact other aspects.
The Voluntary Guidelines are structured around seven focus areas encapsulating cross-cutting factors that are relevant to achieve healthy diets for everyone through sustainable food systems.
