Regional Consultation for Europe: Review of the Second Global Plan of Action for Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture

Regional consultations for Europe and Central Asia on the Second Global Plan of Action for Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture will be held virtually from 10 to 12 September 2024. The meeting will be co-organized with the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture.

During the regional consultations, National Focal Points will review and revise the Second Global Plan of Action for Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (Second GPA) in response to findings of The Third Report on the State of the World’s Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (the Third Report). A first draft of the Third Report was launched in July of last year on the occasion of the 19th Regular Session of the Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture. The revised draft Third Report (click here to download) was made available in the beginning of August, for review by Members by 10 September 2024 (for more information, click here).
