The Fourth Annual Consultation Meeting on the FAO-China South-South Cooperation (SSC) Programme was held on 28 January 2015 at FAO Headquarters, Rome, Italy. Mr. Laurent Thomas, Assistant Director-General of the Technical Cooperation Department of FAO, and Mr. Wang Ying, Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Agriculture, China, led their respective delegations. During the meeting the achievements made by the FAO-China SSC Programme and the progress made in 2014 were reviewed and the work plan for 2015 were mutually approved. Views were exchanged on the follow-up actions for the new China's commitment of USD50 million to FAO. By the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on project "Strengthening the Implementation of Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) Initiative through Capacity Development under the SSC" was signed by FAO and China.
