Rural Poverty Reduction: No longer the average dairy farmer
Increasing the productivity of smallholder dairy farmers in the dry zone of Sri Lanka.
FAO with funding from the European Union and in partnership with the Government of Sri Lanka implemented the Support to District Development Programme (EU-SDDP) with the aim of reducing poverty among former conflict affected communities through agricultural development. The EU-SDDP has assisted Sri Lanka since 2012 in making a transition from post-conflict assistance to reconstruction and development.
