Bilateral meeting with the President of Slovenia - H.E. Nataša Pirc Musar

Dubai - The Director-General of FAO, QU Dongyu, met with the President of Slovenia, H.E. Nataša Pirc Musar, on 3 December on the margins of the 2023 UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The pair recalled their previous meeting during the President’s visit to FAO headquarters in Rome in May 2023, during which they had agreed to continue strengthen cooperation in areas such as World Bee Day and South-South and Triangular Cooperation.

The Director-General and President Musar exchanged views on the status of food insecurity in the world, especially in regions facing conflict, and their impact on food security and nutrition.

The two agreed to continue to strengthen collaboration, including in support of agrifood systems transformation.
