Director-General and Cameroon Minister Delegate to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development discuss youth inclusion in agriculture

3 December 2019, Rome - FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu met today with Clémentine Ananga Messina, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Cameroon, at the Organization’s headquarters in Rome, on the sidelines of the 163rd Session of the FAO Council.

Minister Ananga Messina congratulated the Director-General on his election at the helm of the Organization and his first 100 days in office and reaffirmed her country’s strong support to FAO’s action.

During the meeting, the parties re-affirmed the strong partnership and agreed to work closely together in the future.

They both highlighted the strong need to create new opportunities for the youth in the agricultural sector, especially through agricultural innovation and the modernization of processes for the advancement of the sector.
