Director-General and Minister for Agriculture and Forestry of Angola discuss stronger collaboration

3 December 2019, Rome - FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu met today with António Francisco de Assis, Minister for Agriculture and Forestry of Angola, at the Organization’s headquarters in Rome, on the sidelines of the 163rd Session of the FAO Council.
In their talks, they discussed the strong partnership between Angola and FAO.
The Director-General, for his part, commended Angola for the continuous support provided to the Africa Solidarity Trust Fund (ASTF), contributing USD 10 million in setup of the fund and an additional USD 10 million pledged for the replenishment in June 2019. The Director General also noted the importance of focusing on key areas to ensure sustainable food security.
