Director-General is invited to World Economic Forum in Davos

6 September 2019, Rome - FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu met with Sean de Cleene, a senior official with the World Economic Forum, today to discuss ways to strengthen collaboration on specific areas of work between FAO and WEF. 
 
De Cleene, a member of the WEF Executive Committee and Head of its Food Systems Initiative, invited the Director-General to attend the Davos meetings in January 2020, a high-profile event that typically draws lgions of political, business and other social leaders to discuss major global, regional and industry agendas. 
 
The World Economic Forum describes itself as the international organization for public-private cooperation. FAO is increasingly committed to leveraging partnerships to achieve wide-ranging transformations needed to eradicate hunger.
