FAO Director-General and CPLP Executive Secretary discuss continued collaboration

14 October 2019, Rome - FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu met today with the Executive Secretary of the Community of the Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), Ambassador Francisco Ribeiro Telles.
During the talks, the Executive Secretary presented to the FAO Director-General the progress made by CPLP Member Countries in terms of promoting food security and nutrition, particularly through the implementation of the Food Security and Nutrition Strategy of CPLP, which was approved in 2011 by the Heads of State of CPLP Member Countries.
The Director-General, for his part, expressed his appreciation of the work done and mentioned that he was looking forward to continued collaboration with CPLP.
