Readout of the FAO Director-General’s meeting with His Excellency Thuli Dladla, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Eswatini

Mbabane - The FAO Director-General, QU Dongyu, met with H.E. Thuli Dladla, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Eswatini on 24 February and reaffirmed FAO’s commitment to providing technical support to the country.

The Minister thanked the Director-General for his visit noting the importance of it as agriculture is the country’s pillar and focus, and for the support FAO has provided to the sector. She also explained that the visit and the Director General’s meeting with His Majesty Mswati III, King of the Kingdom of Eswatini, are timely given the Marula (Buganu) Festival currently underway.

The Director-General thanked the Minister and invited her to participate in this year’s World Food Day and World Food Forum events.
