Strengthening Japan’s collaboration with FAO

29 August 2019, Yokohama – Talks today between FAO Director-General Qu and Japan’s Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Takamori Yoshikawa focused on efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in particular Zero Hunger.

During the meeting that took place on the sidelines of TICAD7, Minister Yoshikawa recognized the importance of FAO’s work to implement actions to end hunger and malnutrition and reiterated his country’s commitment to achieve this goal.

For his part, Qu praised Japan’s support for FAO, in particular its continuous efforts for resource mobilization and pointed to the need to strengthen collaboration.
