Description
Raised an ethanol import tariff to 11.75% on (instead of current 9.25 percent), replacing a system under which foreign ethanol was taxed at 9.25%, but with an offsetting credit for importers. Most of the imported ethanol comes from the US.
Notes
For example, in March, the U.S. exported nearly 2 million barrels of ethanol , with 598,000 barrels of that volume destined for Brazil.
