Description
Announced that from October, the price of imported wheat for millers would increase to JPY 52 510 (USD 482) per tonne, 3.6 percent above the previous six-month period. The increase reflects the rise in FOB prices of wheat from the US and Australia (Japan’s main suppliers of milling wheat) as well as higher freight rates and a weaker yen.
