Planned extending, beyond its expiry date of 1 August 2017, a temporary revenue cap on rail transports of grains and oilseeds from Canada’s Western regions to the country’s main ports.

While Canada’s lawmakers continue working on amendments of the country’s Transportation Act (see MPPU Dec.’16), the Government is considering extending a temporary revenue cap on rail transports of grains and oilseeds from Canada’s Western regions to the country’s main ports beyond its current expiry date of 1 August 2017.
