Description
Released a long-term nationwide oil palm replanting plan involving up to 4.7 million ha, with a view to boost productivity in the sector.
Notes
The Government of Indonesia issued an oil palm replanting plan involving 4.7 million hectares of plantation. The initiative is aimed at boosting the crops productivity. Reportedly, average yields dropped to 23 tonnes of palm oil per hectare due to the deteriorating age structure of the countrys oil palms.
