Description
Announced that a unified database integrating various land-use maps which could be instrumental in identifyingoverlapping land concessions and addressing the problem of illegal oil palm plantations would be completed in thecourse of 2018.
Notes
The Government of Indonesia announced that a unified database integrating various land-use maps including a map on oil palm plantations will be completed later this year (see also MPPU Aug.16). The new tool could be crucial in the management of Indonesias forests and natural resources. In particular, the integrated map could help identify overlapping land concessions and address the problem of illegal plantations inside forest areas.
