Description
Banned the manufacture, storage, sale and distribution of 45 brands of coconut oil in Kerala State, after detecting samples that were adulterated and unsafe for human consumption.
Notes
On 2 June, the food safety authorities of Kerala State banned the manufacture, storage, sale and distribution of 45 brands of coconut oil with immediate effect, according to local press reports. The decision was taken after samples were found adulterated and unsafe for human consumption (see also MPPU Mar.18).
