Description
Announced that it would seek to raise cultivated areas in order to achieve self-sufficiency in food. For the purpose, it had identified 100 000 ha of land to put under rice cultivation, which with development and improved seed usage could facilitate a 500 000-tonne increase in rice production by 2024.
