Introduced guaranteed prices as part of a drive to achieve food self-sufficiency. The guaranteed price for maize is set at MXN 5 610 (USD 292.2) per tonne for a maximum of 20 tonnes, while for wheat it is set at MXN 5 790 (USD 301.6) per tonne for a maximum of 100 tonnes.
